Observations

As a prospective student, before you start your own lessons, I highly recommend finding the lessons of similar-aged students to observe. If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine what watching a half-hour lesson will do to help clarify expectations!

Even once you’ve begun your own lessons, I recommend observing other students’ lessons. There is so much to learn from watching other students in their trials and successes.

If you decide to experiment with watching other teachers, I’d also love to hear about what you learn from those lessons! [Looking for another "Learn and Earn" idea here. If you have one, please share!]

Please be sure to contact both the teacher and the student family before coming to observe their lesson. (You wouldn’t want to show up on the day they cancel!)
