Orchestra and Music Camps

Group musical experiences are some of the best there are. For all students in Book 2+, I highly recommend participation in orchestra and a quality summer music camp.

Vivace Youth Symphony is a wonderful orchestra program that meets in American Fork on Wednesday afternoons during the school year. They currently have intermediate (books 2–4) and advanced (book 5+) youth orchestras. Visit American Fork Arts: Vivace Youth Orchestra for more info.

During the summer, the Vivace Orchestra Camp serves all ages and levels. The Intermountain Suzuki String Institute, held in Draper, is a pricey but irreplaceable experience. I also recommend looking into the chamber and orchestra camp Mountains and Strings (or Mini Mountains and Strings for younger students) in Harriman State Park, Idaho.
